Two of the Many Lenox Ed Students Admitted to Prestigious Schools

Cody Bian Accepted at Cornell University

Lenox Ed is excited to announce that Cody Bian has been accepted as a student at Cornell University for Fall 2022.

Cornell is an Ivy League school with difficult admissions criteria, but with the assistance of Lenox Ed counselors, Cody wrote college application essays that helped him stand out from among the crowd.

Bellina Zhou Accepted at Top 3 Private High Schools

We are also very pleased to announce that Bellina Zhou, an 8th-grade student, was accepted into the top three private high schools in the United States: Phillips Exeter Academy, Phillips Academy Andover, and Choate. Bellina has chosen to attend Andover, which is located about 25 miles north of Boston. This elite school has produced two U.S. presidents, numerous members of Congress, five Nobel laureates, and six Medal of Honor recipients. We are so proud of Bellina for this amazing achievement and are honored to have assisted her with the admissions process. Bellina has been a Lenox Ed student for years and is currently enrolled in Lenox Ed's Davidson Fellows writing class, working on a scholarship portfolio.

Our Successful Students

Co-Valedictorians Cody & Troy Bain

Cody and Troy Bain just received the prestigious honor of becoming co-valedictorians of Riverside Military Academy's 2022 graduating class. As identical twins, they have shared many birthdays and other special moments together, but this one is truly exceptional. Lenox Ed was honored to do the boys' college counseling and give them guidance on their valedictorian speeches. In the fall, Troy is headed to New York University after receiving a positive early decision, while Cody was recently informed that he has been accepted to Cornell University. We are so proud of both of them and wish them great success in their future!

Scholastic Writing Contest

Winner Franklin Sun

Franklin was recently contacted by Stone Soup with great news! The narrative he submitted for the writing contest our students entered in February was selected as a winning entry! He received a certificate and a book from Scholastic as his prize. Franklin is a part of Lenox Ed's 4th & 5th-grade writing class in which he brainstormed, wrote, and edited his story with feedback from his teachers and peers. We are extremely proud of Franklin!

Skylar Chen, a second-grader, also received good news from Stone Soup Magazine, another leading publisher of children’s writing and art: a poem she entered for one of their writing contests will soon be published online.

We are so proud of our students' awards and are excited to see them making continual progress in our writing classes.

ANOTHER POW WRITING CONTEST WINNER!

Lenox Ed is excited to announce we have another winner for a POW Writing contest! Katherine Wang, one of our middle school writing students, has won first place for her entry to The POW Center's

"Personal Affirmation" Writing Contest, held at the beginning of the semester.

For this contest, Katherine, a 7th grader, wrote a personalized set of positive

affirmations, plus created an audio recording of them as part of her submission.

The POW judges specifically mentioned her use of the word "polymath" in her affirmations and commended her for her strong diction. She will receive a cash prize for her achievement, as well as an award certificate.

Great job, Katherine!  We are very proud of you!

Lenox Ed has nurtured winners for prestigious writing contests every single semester as part of our customized curriculum.

SCHOOL SPELLING BEE CHAMPION!

Lenox Ed is also proud to announce that 4th grader Franklin Sun is the

2021-2022 Spelling Bee Champion of his elementary school. Franklin

successfully spelled his way through 26 rounds of the highly-competitive bee

before being declared the winner. His next step will be the county spelling bee.

Last semester, Franklin also won an Honorable Mention in the Scopes

Writing Contest for his story called, "A Day of Light," which he composed

as an assignment for his Lenox Ed writing class.

We are all very proud of you, Franklin, and we'll be cheering you on!

WRITING CONTEST WINNER!

Lenox Ed is very proud to announce that Claire Zhou, one of our 2nd & 3rd-grade writing students, has won first place for her entry to The POW Center's "Thank You Letter" Writing Contest!

The POW Center, Inc. is a nonprofit organization with the mission of teaching kids the power of words,

and it holds several age-specific writing contests each year.

Claire, age 8, wrote a beautiful letter to the people in her life

who have most influenced her the most. She will receive a cash prize for her achievement,

as well as an award certificate. Claire, we are so proud of you!

Lenox Ed has consistently nurtured contest winners for prestigious writing contests every single semester as part of our customized curriculum.
